Who We Are
The TID 164 Preservation Trust was set up in 2018 to continue the work of the Friends of TID 164, who had been working on the tug since 2010.
Our aim is to fully restore and make seaworthy The Steam Tug TID 164.
After restoration we intend to take her on voyages to various ports and shows, as well as displaying at her mooring at Chatham, for demonstration and educational purposes, showing the building techniques and the history of the TID class tug.
