From the launch of TID 1, 26th February 1943 to the launch of the last TID 183, 29th May 1946, TID tugs proved to be much more than just an emergency tug to fill the need for tugs during WW2.
Used for many tasks they ended up all over the world.
Sadly of the 182 TID's built (no TID 13), only a handful remain, some unrecognisable as a TID until you look closely at the hull lines and below the waterline.
Only 4 remain intact with their original steam engines, pumps and fittings.
