IN 2012 TID 164 was aquired by the BBC for filming scenes in their TV production of "Call the Midwife". ( A series based on the stories of Midwives in the dock area of London in the 50's) For this we had to be moved along the river several hundred metres via a tow.
It wasn't the easiest of berths to moor in. because the mud bank was so steep we slipped out away from the wall.
The next day we tried again and after several hours and into the night and using 8 ropes, we finally managed to get her to sit on the mud at the wall.

Finally the time came for the shoot and the film crew got the shot they wanted which lasted on screen for just a few seconds
In 2014 we were asked to move once again this time just a few hundred yards along the wall for the filming of a new Muppet film. (Muppet most wanted). This time we walked the tug along the wall to a position ready for filming.
A change of name for the TID though. We became SMS Grunhilda, for a scene where Kermit is mistaken for a master criminal,
Lots of filming around the boat most of which ended up on the cutting room floor!, but our bow and along the port side along the wall at water level can be seen

Once in steam and fully restored we hope to be able to be involved with more film work.
